ASSISI AND PERUGIA
Visit to Umbria Region (called also the “green heart” of Italy). In the morning, visit of Assisi: birthplace of St. Francis the Basilica of S. Francesco, the Church including S.Chiara and the Church of S. Maria degli Angeli.
Then visit of Perugia, capital of this region and famous for its University. Visit of the medieval old town: Palazzo dei Priori (Town Hall square), the Cathedral and Rocca Paolina, a Renaissance fortress.
ETRUSCAN UMBRIA
Today’s trip leads through the beautiful landscape, first to Orvieto.
On a hill, this beautiful village is full of Etruscan and medieval architecture. Worth seeing are here the Rocca (Old City fortress), the Cathedral, the Church of Sant’Andrea and the Etruscan Necropoli.
Then drive to Todi: visit the Duomo, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (one of the most beautiful in Umbria), and the Palazzo del Popolo.
